We have two good poll heifers with calves at foot going to the Longtown Mart sale on 13th October which will include the Wardfield dispersal.

Our heifers are Shawhill Melania (P) 643851110 and Shawhill Dee Marigold (P) 643851878.

Each has a nice bull calf by Shawhill Moonshine (by Diamond Lord Belmore). We recently sold Moonshine to go as stock bull to Edward Chantry's Sotterley herd in Suffolk.
JUNE 2020 - 1
Some of the Shorthorn cows and calves at Newlands in the 28 degree heat. Also Beth and Matthew's Border Leicester lambs at Pilmuir, some Shorthorn and Shorthorn cross calves at Pilmuir and Red Poll cows and young calves on the hill. It is very strange with no shows this year. It should have been the Royal Highland last week and the Great Yorkshire next week; but at least the cake and travel bills are less!

Lot 285, Shawhill Maestro (P) (633805563) is a roan poll bull by Winalot Rodney out of one of our best cows, Shawhill Dewdrop Futurama. He is in the top breed percentile for EBV growth figures at +72 for 600 day weight with excellent eye muscle and beef yield data. A great bull for anyone wanting to produce strong growthy cattle with good conformation and great potential.

Moondust's dam is a Shawhill Dewdrop Futurama daughter by the high-index Glenisla Zetor. Moondust is EBV +49 for 600 day weight and is a smart bull, suitable for any herd.
